Berry Mojito is a fruit-forward twist on the Mojito family: a tall, minty rum highball built around lime, sugar, and a sparkling top. You’ll recognise the same easy-drinking, warm-weather character that makes Mojito-style drinks so enduring, but here the focus shifts toward bright berry freshness while keeping the base firmly in white rum and citrus.
On the palate, white rum brings a clean, lightly sweet backbone that lets the other ingredients stay vivid. Lime juice adds a sharp, zesty snap, while a teaspoon of sugar softens the edges and rounds the acidity into a smoother, more balanced sip. Mint leaves lift everything with a cool, green aroma, and the raspberries contribute a gentle, juicy fruit note that plays naturally with the lime. A top-up of soda water keeps it light, crisp, and refreshing from first taste to last.
Serve it in a highball when you want something bright and sessionable—ideal for sunny afternoons, garden get-togethers, or as a crowd-pleasing welcome drink. You’ll enjoy it if you like citrusy, mint-led cocktails with a subtle berry accent and a sparkling finish.

Highball glass
Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
White rum leads with clean cane notes, brightened by lime juice and lifted by soda water, while mint leaves add a cool, green snap; sugar rounds the edges and the raspberries bring a soft, jammy tartness that lingers through the fizz. It works because lime and soda keep the sugar and raspberry from feeling heavy, and mint ties the fruit to the rum—ideal for anyone who likes a refreshing, fruit-forward highball.

FAQ's
What is the best way to muddle the mint and raspberries for a Berry Mojito?
For the best Berry Mojito, gently muddle the mint leaves and raspberries in the bottom of the glass to release their flavors without shredding the mint, which can make your drink bitter. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon, pressing lightly until the aromas are released.
Can I use frozen raspberries instead of fresh ones for a Berry Mojito?
Yes, you can use frozen raspberries instead of fresh ones for a Berry Mojito. Frozen raspberries may even add a cooler temperature to your drink, making it more refreshing. However, keep in mind that as they thaw, they might water down your cocktail slightly.
Is there a non-alcoholic version of the Berry Mojito?
Absolutely! To make a non-alcoholic Berry Mojito, simply replace the white rum with more soda water or a non-alcoholic rum alternative. You'll still enjoy the refreshing flavors of mint, lime, and raspberries.
How can I adjust the Berry Mojito recipe if it's too sweet or too tart?
If your Berry Mojito is too sweet, balance it by adding more lime juice. If it's too tart, add a little more sugar or consider using a splash of simple syrup for smooth sweetness. Adjusting the drink to your taste is easy and encouraged!
What food pairs well with a Berry Mojito?
Berry Mojitos, with their refreshing and fruity notes, pair beautifully with light summer dishes, seafood such as grilled fish, and salads. They also complement spicy foods by cooling down the palate, making them great accompaniments to dishes with a kick.
