Frequently asked questions
- How does this tie into my web account? Are they linked?
They certainly are linked. If you add an ingredient into your MyBar on the website, it will also automatically add it into your MyBar on the app. It's all linked and synced.
- How much does it cost
Just like this site, it's all free. No cost, no charge, no subscription for using the app. We are working on integrating our premium member options into the app, at which time you'll be able to upgrade in the app, but there's no cost for downloading and using our app as is.
- Do I need to register? Is there a guest option?
We made the hard decision to make users register to get the content in the app. There was just too much personalisation and member only functionality that it seemed strange to allow a guest option for the app - such as favouriting, MyBar, showing you what you can make and more.
That doesn't mean we're not exploring this option still, surfacing cocktail content only for guests, but it's not in our immediate timeline.
- What's new in this version of the app?
The new version introduces Photo Your Bar — point your camera at your bottles and instantly see every cocktail you can make. We've added support for multiple bars for Premium members, the ability to add your own bespoke ingredients, and completely rebuilt the design from the ground up with a fresh new colour scheme and redesigned navigation.
- Will my existing MyBar, favourites, and account all carry over?
Yes, absolutely. Everything is tied to your account — your MyBar, favourites, and settings will all be exactly as you left them. Just log in with your existing account details.
- Can I download the app now, before May 1st?
Yes — the current version is available now on the App Store and Google Play. When the new version launches on May 1st, your app will update automatically. No need to do anything.
- I'm already using the app — do I need to do anything on May 1st?
Not a thing. If you have automatic updates turned on, the new version will install itself. If not, just head to the App Store or Google Play on May 1st and tap Update. Your account and data will be waiting for you.
