Frequently asked questions
- Is there an Android version?
We are currently in development and are looking to launch the Android version before Christmas (yes 2024). It's coming very very soon.
- How does this tie into my web account? Are they linked?
They certainly are linked. If you add an ingredient into your MyBar on the website, it will also automatically add it into your MyBar on the app. It's all linked and synced.
- I had an account with the old app, where's all my data gone.
We've got quite a long explanation and Q and A's over on our 'Migrating from the old site' page.
- How much does it cost
Just like this site, it's all free. No cost, no charge, no subscription for using the app. We are working on integrating our premium member options into the app however, at which time you'll be able to upgrade in the app, but there's no cost for downloading and using our app as is.
- Do I need to register? Is there a guest option?
We made the hard decision to make users register to get the content in the app. There was just too much personalisation and member only functionality that it seemed strange to allow a guest option for the app - such as favouriting, MyBar, showing you what you can make and more.
That doesn't mean we're not exploring this option still, surfacing cocktail content only for guests, but it's not in our immediate timeline.
- There's quite a bit of functionality on the site that isn't on the app yet
Our site actually has a lot of functionality, modules, and content on it, and a lot of that isn't contextually right for the app. However, there are some obvious omissions from the app that exist on the website that we are working on implementing and tying into the app (photo'ing your bar for example).
The app is very much at the forefront of our development at the moment and expect fairly frequent updates.
