Quarantini is a modern, playful “-tini” style cocktail that leans into the bright, bubbly crowd-pleaser category rather than old-school martini austerity. You’ll find it sits comfortably in the contemporary sparkling-gin family: fruit-forward, easy to love, and built for moments when you want something celebratory without being too serious. While it doesn’t have a long-established backstory, its name and format feel very much of the recent era of at-home mixing and inventive, mood-lifting serves.
On the palate, gin brings a crisp backbone that keeps the drink from tipping into pure fruit juice. Cointreau adds a clean orange sweetness that bridges the tart edge of cranberry juice and the softer, rounder sweetness of apple juice. Topped with Champagne or prosecco, the bubbles lift those fruit notes and brighten the finish, making each sip feel lighter and more refreshing.
Serve it in a cocktail glass when you want something that reads “party” but drinks effortlessly—think brunches, toasts, and impromptu celebrations. It’s a great pick if you like sparkling cocktails with a fruity profile, or if you want an approachable gin drink that still feels a little dressed up.

Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
Gin leads with crisp botanicals wrapped in Cointreau’s orange sweetness, while cranberry juice adds tart red-fruit snap and apple juice softens it with mellow orchard notes, all lifted by a Champagne/prosecco top-up that keeps the finish bright and fizzy. The bubbles lighten the liqueur and juices, and the cranberry tang reins in the sweetness, making it ideal for citrus-and-fruit lovers who want an easy, celebratory cocktail-glass sipper.

FAQ's
What kind of occasions is the Quarantini best suited for?
The Quarantini, with its fun name and delightful mix of flavors, is perfect for relaxed home celebrations, virtual happy hours, or as a chic cocktail for a small gathering. Its sparkling finish with champagne or prosecco makes it festive, ideal for commemorating special moments or unwinding during the weekends.
Can I substitute any ingredients in the Quarantini if I don't have them?
Yes, the Quarantini is quite versatile. If you're out of Cointreau, you could use another orange liqueur like Grand Marnier or Triple Sec. If cranberry juice isn't available, pomegranate juice is a good substitute. For a non-alcoholic version, omit the gin and champagne and top it up with sparkling water or ginger ale instead.
Is there a non-alcoholic version of the Quarantini?
Absolutely! To make a non-alcoholic version of the Quarantini, simply omit the gin, Cointreau, and champagne or prosecco. Replace them with non-alcoholic alternatives like non-alcoholic gin, orange-flavored syrup, and sparkling water or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine to keep the fizz and flavor profile as close as possible.
How should I garnish a Quarantini to enhance its presentation?
A Quarantini looks best with a simple, elegant garnish. A thin slice of apple or an orange twist works wonderfully, adding a burst of color and hinting at the flavors inside the cocktail. For a festive touch, a sprig of mint or floating cranberries can also add visual appeal.
What is the best way to achieve the perfect cold and well-mixed Quarantini?
To ensure your Quarantini is cold and well-mixed, start with all your ingredients and cocktail glass chilled. Fill a shaker with ice, add the gin, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and apple juice, then shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into your chilled glass, and top it up with cold champagne or prosecco for that sparkling finish. This method delivers a refreshingly cold and flavorful cocktail every time.
