Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
The Quarantini cleverly blends the botanical notes of gin with the sweet and tart profiles of cranberry and apple juice, resulting in a complex yet harmonious mix. The addition of Cointreau amplifies the citrus notes, while the champagne top-up introduces a festive sparkle that lifts the drink, making it both refreshing and sophisticated.

FAQ's
What kind of occasions is the Quarantini best suited for?
The Quarantini, with its fun name and delightful mix of flavors, is perfect for relaxed home celebrations, virtual happy hours, or as a chic cocktail for a small gathering. Its sparkling finish with champagne or prosecco makes it festive, ideal for commemorating special moments or unwinding during the weekends.
Can I substitute any ingredients in the Quarantini if I don't have them?
Yes, the Quarantini is quite versatile. If you're out of Cointreau, you could use another orange liqueur like Grand Marnier or Triple Sec. If cranberry juice isn't available, pomegranate juice is a good substitute. For a non-alcoholic version, omit the gin and champagne and top it up with sparkling water or ginger ale instead.
Is there a non-alcoholic version of the Quarantini?
Absolutely! To make a non-alcoholic version of the Quarantini, simply omit the gin, Cointreau, and champagne or prosecco. Replace them with non-alcoholic alternatives like non-alcoholic gin, orange-flavored syrup, and sparkling water or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine to keep the fizz and flavor profile as close as possible.
How should I garnish a Quarantini to enhance its presentation?
A Quarantini looks best with a simple, elegant garnish. A thin slice of apple or an orange twist works wonderfully, adding a burst of color and hinting at the flavors inside the cocktail. For a festive touch, a sprig of mint or floating cranberries can also add visual appeal.
What is the best way to achieve the perfect cold and well-mixed Quarantini?
To ensure your Quarantini is cold and well-mixed, start with all your ingredients and cocktail glass chilled. Fill a shaker with ice, add the gin, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and apple juice, then shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into your chilled glass, and top it up with cold champagne or prosecco for that sparkling finish. This method delivers a refreshingly cold and flavorful cocktail every time.
