Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
Lady Luck is a charming dance of botanical and fruity flavors where the crispness of gin wonderfully complements the sweet floral hint of elderflower liqueur and delicate pear nectar. The dash of grapefruit bitters and a squeeze of lemon juice provide a subtle citrusy sharpness, adding a layer of complexity that keeps the taste buds intrigued yet harmoniously balanced.

FAQ's
What can I use as a substitute for elderflower liqueur in the Lady Luck cocktail?
If you don't have elderflower liqueur, you can substitute it with an equal amount of St. Germain if you have it, as it is the most common elderflower liqueur. Alternatively, you could use a floral syrup like hibiscus or a light honey syrup for a non-alcoholic version. Keep in mind that substitutes will slightly alter the original flavor profile.
Is there a non-alcoholic version of the Lady Luck cocktail?
Yes, you can make a non-alcoholic version of Lady Luck by substituting the gin with a non-alcoholic gin alternative and skipping the elderflower liqueur or replacing it with a non-alcoholic elderflower syrup. Use a dash of non-alcoholic bitters to mimic the complexity of the original cocktail.
How can I adjust the Lady Luck cocktail to make it sweeter or less sweet?
To make the Lady Luck cocktail sweeter, you can increase the amount of pear nectar or add a small amount of simple syrup. To make it less sweet, reduce the pear nectar slightly or increase the lemon juice for a more tart flavor balance.
What are the best occasions to serve the Lady Luck cocktail?
The Lady Luck cocktail, with its elegant appearance and refreshing taste, is perfect for a variety of occasions. It’s great for spring and summer gatherings, garden parties, weddings, or as a sophisticated drink option at a cocktail party. Its unique flavor also makes it a wonderful choice for holidays and special celebrations.
Can the Lady Luck cocktail be batched for large parties?
Yes, the Lady Luck cocktail can be batched for large parties. Multiply the ingredients by the number of servings you need and mix everything except the grapefruit bitters in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
