Spicy Samosa is a bold, modern party-style cocktail that leans into big spirits, bright juices, and a playful hit of heat. Rather than a storied classic with a fixed origin, it reads like a contemporary “tropical spice” mash-up—built to be loud, fruity, and attention-grabbing in a cocktail glass, with Tabasco giving it a signature twist.
You’ll find coconut rum and white rum laying down a sweet, tropical base, while vodka adds clean strength without pulling the flavour in a new direction. Peach schnapps brings a soft, candy-like stone-fruit sweetness that sits neatly alongside the mango juice. Lime juice sharpens the whole mix, keeping the orange, tropical, and mixed fruit juices from tasting flat, and the Tabasco dash cuts through the sweetness with a quick, peppery sting that lingers on the finish.
Serve this when you want something fun and unapologetically punchy—great for pre-drinks, house parties, or any night where “easy to love” matters more than subtlety. If you enjoy fruity cocktails but also like a little kick, this is your lane; if you’re heat-shy, you’ll still appreciate how the spice brightens the citrus and tropical notes.

Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
Coconut rum and white rum bring a sweet tropical base while vodka adds clean punch, peach schnapps layers syrupy stone-fruit, and lime juice sharpens the orange, mango, and tropical juices before a dash of Tabasco sauce snaps through with peppery heat. It works because the citrus and mixed juices keep the heavy spirits from feeling cloying and the Tabasco adds contrast; ideal for party drinkers who like boozy, fruity cocktails with a spicy kick.

FAQ's
How do you ensure the Spicy Samosa cocktail is well mixed?
To ensure the Spicy Samosa cocktail is well mixed, use a cocktail shaker. Start by adding the coconut rum, vodka, peach schnapps, white rum, and a dash of Tabasco sauce to the shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Then, strain into a cocktail glass and top up with lime juice, orange juice, mango juice, and tropical juice. This method ensures that all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and chilled.
Can I substitute another ingredient for the peach schnapps in the Spicy Samosa cocktail?
Yes, if you don't have peach schnapps, you can substitute it with apricot brandy or another fruit-flavored liqueur that complements the tropical and spicy profile of the Spicy Samosa. However, be mindful of the sweetness and alcohol content differences, which may slightly alter the final taste.
What is the best way to serve the Spicy Samosa cocktail?
The Spicy Samosa cocktail is best served cold in a cocktail glass. For an impressive presentation, consider chilling the glass beforehand and garnishing with a lime wheel or a thin slice of mango on the rim. This not only enhances the visual appeal but also complements the tropical flavors of the cocktail.
How does the alcohol content of the Spicy Samosa compare to that of a standard cocktail?
The Spicy Samosa has an alcohol content of 22.26%, which is slightly higher than many standard cocktails, which usually range between 10% to 15% alcohol by volume (ABV). This makes it a stronger choice, so it's wise to enjoy it responsibly.
What food would pair well with the Spicy Samosa cocktail?
Given its tropical and spicy flavor profile, the Spicy Samosa pairs well with Asian-inspired appetizers or light seafood dishes. Think of spring rolls, grilled shrimp, or a mango and avocado salad. The cocktail's fruity yet spicy taste complements these foods, enhancing the overall dining experience.
