Method

Put the wine, oranges, lemon juice, cloves, cinnamon and ginger into a pan and heat slowly without boiling. Take off the hob and place over a candle (like the sort that comes from a fondue set). A piece of sugar cane needs to be placed in a holder over the wine and soaked in rum. As it melts, it will drip down into the wine. Then it is ready to serve.
