Ouzo DreamCocktail recipe
Rating
Found this on the web as "Tropical Dream", but since a whole bunch of cocktails with that name already exist (most of them with pineapple juice), I decided to go with "Ouzo Dream" here, to prevent confusion and to highlight its unique selling point. It's still as tropical as ever though, including in its looks.

FAQ's

What gives the Ouzo Dream its distinct aniseed flavor?
The distinct aniseed flavor in the Ouzo Dream cocktail comes from the Aniseed liqueur, which is a key ingredient alongside Coconut rum, Banana liqueur, Lemon-Lime soda, and a dash of Blue Curaçao.

Why is the Ouzo Dream shaken and not stirred?
The Ouzo Dream is shaken, not stirred, to properly mix the denser ingredients like Coconut rum, Banana, and Aniseed liqueur with the lighter Lemon-Lime soda, ensuring a uniform taste and texture while also chilling the drink more effectively than stirring.

What is the best way to serve an Ouzo Dream?
The Ouzo Dream is best served cold in a Highball glass, topped up with Lemon-Lime soda and a dash of Blue Curaçao for a visually appealing and refreshing cocktail experience.

How does the alcohol content of Ouzo Dream compare to a typical cocktail?
With an alcohol content of 9.5%, the Ouzo Dream is slightly lower in alcohol compared to many traditional cocktails, which usually range from 10% to 25% alcohol by volume, making it a moderately strong choice.

Can I make a non-alcoholic version of Ouzo Dream, and if so, how?
Yes, you can make a non-alcoholic version of Ouzo Dream by substituting Coconut rum, Banana liqueur, and Aniseed liqueur with non-alcoholic alternatives such as coconut water, banana syrup, and a non-alcoholic anise-flavored syrup. Top up with Lemon-Lime soda and a dash of non-alcoholic Blue Curaçao syrup.
