Method

Squeeze half of a lemon into a shaker. Muddle a basil leaf in the lemon and let sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavour of the basil to mix in. Add crushed ice and vodka and shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Add a basil leaf as a garnish and serve.
