Method
How to make a Cozonac

Serves 1 · Takes 3 minutes
Pour the Irish cream in the shooter glass, then carefully layer the Jägermeister
The overproof rum is layered on the top
Ignite the rum
Wait for 4-5 seconds and when the flame starts to have a good shape, just blow it out and serve
~ The shooter can be made non-Stroh themed by replacing the rum with another high proof rum (Bacardi 151, etc.), or entirely Stroh themed by involving the Stroh Cream Liqueur or the Stroh Jagertee. This is one shooter with many faces. Be very careful no to ingest a burning liquid! Be sure you've put out the flame, before the glass touches your lips. ~

FAQ's

INGREDIENT_SPECIFICS

What makes Overproof Rum a unique choice for the Cozonac cocktail?

Overproof Rum is distinct for its high alcohol content, typically above 57% ABV, making it a potent ingredient that adds a strong, intense flavor and increases the overall alcohol content of the Cozonac cocktail. Its rich, deep flavors complement the sweet and herbal notes of Bailey's and Jagermeister, creating a balanced yet bold drink.

SERVING_SUGGESTIONS

Is it recommended to chill the shot glasses before serving the Cozonac cocktail?

Yes, chilling the shot glasses before serving the Cozonac cocktail is recommended as it enhances the drinking experience by keeping the drink colder for longer, providing a refreshing contrast to the strong flavors of the cocktail's ingredients.

ALCOHOL_CONTENT_COMPARISON

How does the alcohol content of the Cozonac cocktail compare to that of a standard shot of liquor?

The Cozonac cocktail has an alcohol content of 30.67%, which is higher than a standard shot of liquor, typically around 40% ABV, due to the dilution from the non-alcoholic ingredients. However, because the Cozonac is served in a small volume (60ml), the overall effect is potent, making it comparable to a single shot in terms of alcohol impact.

CUSTOMIZATION_IDEAS

Can I substitute one of the spirits in the Cozonac cocktail for a similar-flavored liqueur?

Yes, customization is possible with the Cozonac cocktail. For instance, if you want to substitute one of the spirits, consider using a coffee liqueur as an alternative to Bailey's for a different twist on the flavor profile, or a spiced rum in place of Overproof Rum for a milder spice note. Ensure that the substitute chosen complements the other ingredients' flavors.

FOOD_PAIRINGS

What type of food would pair well with the Cozonac cocktail?

The Cozonac cocktail, with its bold and rich flavors, pairs well with hearty, savory dishes that can stand up to its intensity. Smoked meats, rich chocolate desserts, or spicy appetizers such as jalapeño poppers make excellent choices, as their strong flavors can balance the cocktail's robustness.
