This was always how I had Rusty Nails prepared where I grew up, and didn't realise it was a variant until moving to the East Coast. A simple twist on a classic.

Method

Pour all ingredients into the glass and muddle in the mint leaves. Add a couple of ice cubes, stir gently, and serve.
