Created by The Cocktail Lovers when approached by Tesco to create a great Christmas cocktail for a new mixing hamper, this great mulled wine orientated cocktail is a must for Christmas time.

8 Ingredients


First you need to make a spiced syrup out of the caster sugar, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, cloves and vanilla pod.
Split the vanilla pod and grate the half nutmeg, and add them both along with the other spices to 50ml or warm water, stirring occasionally for 3-4 mins to infuse all the flavours. Leave to cool for 10mins or so in the fridge then strain ready for use.
Next add all the ingredients except the sparkling wine into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 10-15 secs or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosted.
Double strain into a chilled champagne flute then top up with the sparkling wine.
