It’s the middle of the week, and everyone’s got work the next day – and the day after – but you want to put on a fun evening to pick everyone up and get them over that tedious middle part of the five-day work week. You can’t go all out on proper cocktails, lest you want to make the next morning even more trying, and you don’t want a too-taxing form of entertainment to drain you. So, make your own “free” night of fun with games and mocktails!

Getting the free play rolling!

The key to making an event of an entertaining evening in is getting everyone involved in the same activity. Here, we’re siding with some good old-fashioned mobile play, with a focus on platforms that let everyone play and compete for free. Now, you don’t need to worry about jumping into a competitive mobile video game and taking over each other’s bases.

Instead, you’ll get to compete on leaderboards for more prizes without hindering each other. The place to turn for this is the realm of sweepstakes or social casinos. Reviewers of these platforms have come up with a refined approach to finding worthy apps, and the studies show that, to receive a good rating, there needs to be bonuses galore, including leaderboard games.

It’s the fourth-most important point of the ten tested ways to get free coins for the casinos. If you can find an app with an ongoing leaderboard, a hefty welcome bonus of free coins, and a bunch of ways to claim more, you’re in for a good session of casino gaming on the house! With leaderboards in play, you’ll be able to track where you and all of your friends are as you battle in whatever linked games you fancy!

Serving up some casino-ready mocktails

Nowadays, you can get an alcohol-free or vegan alternative to just about every cocktail ingredient under the sun. There’s an alternative out there, so you can create the mocktail equivalent of any hit casino-themed or inspired cocktail. Obviously, the headline act should probably be a blackjack mocktail. You’ll need alcohol-free cognac, cherry liqueur, coffee liqueur, a cold espresso, some ice, and an orange peel on top.

It’d be best to get the blackjack mocktail out at the start of the evening, or there’ll be some sleepless nights ahead! Follow that up with a celebration of your midweek romp with a Monte Carlo imperial mocktail. Monte Carlo is, of course, home to one of the most famous casinos in the world. So, add a touch of class to proceedings by shaking together some alcohol-free gin and mint liqueur with lemon juice, pour over ice cubes, and then top up with alcohol-free champagne or something similarly bubbly.

Pardon the interruption

Next, perhaps one of the most famous fictional casino game lovers enters your menu with the alcohol-free version of their famed cocktail. James Bond’s bio has his signature drink detailed as a key part of the character, with that drink being a Vesper dry martini. Finish your mocktail run with this suave mocktail by shaking together non-alcoholic gin, vodka, and a dry aperitif with ice. Strain into a glass and add a lemon twist for your 007 mocktail.

Get your friends or colleagues together for a night of free fun with social gaming and some alcohol-free mocktails to help get you all through the middle of the week!

Bartender's top tip

Creating your own syrups and infusions can dramatically elevate your cocktails. Homemade simple syrup is just the start; you can infuse it with flavors like vanilla, herbs, spices, or even chili to add a unique twist to your drinks. Infusing spirits with fruits, herbs, or spices can also create personalized and complex flavors that you can’t buy off the shelf.
