Orange Splash sits firmly in the modern citrus-forward “vodka sour” family, built for bright flavour and easy drinking rather than old-school lore. With lemon vodka as the base and Cointreau adding a polished orange liqueur backbone, you’ll find it drinks like a zesty, fruit-led cocktail that feels at home in contemporary cocktail bars and at-home mixing alike.
On the palate, the lemon vodka brings a clean, sharp citrus edge that sets the tone from the first sip. Cointreau layers in sweet orange and a gentle warmth, while lime juice tightens everything with extra tang and lift. Orange juice softens the acidity with round, juicy sweetness, and the teaspoon of sugar smooths the sharper corners so the citrus tastes vibrant rather than biting.
Serve this when you want something refreshing and upbeat—ideal as a pre-dinner opener or a sunny weekend drink. It suits you if you like citrus cocktails that balance sweet and tart without tasting heavy, and it’s a crowd-pleaser for anyone who enjoys orange-and-lime flavours with a crisp vodka finish.

Cocktail Colin says:
Lemon vodka leads with sharp citrus, while Cointreau layers in sweet orange; lime juice tightens the edges, orange juice rounds it into a juicy mid-palate, and a teaspoon of sugar smooths the tart finish. It works because the lime’s bite keeps the sugar and Cointreau from feeling cloying, making it ideal for anyone who likes bright, sweet-tart citrus drinks.
