The Robust Splurge is an unapologetically bold, modern “kitchen-sink” style cocktail that leans into spectacle as much as strength. Rather than tracing back to a single classic lineage, you’ll find it sits firmly in contemporary party-drink territory: multiple base spirits, vivid colour, and dessert-like elements that turn a cocktail glass into a statement. It reads like a celebratory splurge by design—big, bright, and built to stand out on the table.
This is the kind of drink you reach for when you want something theatrical and indulgent—ideal for celebrations, late-night gatherings, or anytime you’re in the mood for a dessert-leaning cocktail with serious punch. If you like colourful, fruit-forward serves but still want the bite of full-strength spirits, you’ll feel right at home. Serve it when you want your first sip to feel like an event.

Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
Whiskey, tequila blanco, and gin hit first with a brash, spirit-forward punch, while blue curaçao and grenadine pile on sticky citrus-sweetness that’s cooled by pineapple sorbet, sharpened by lemon slices, and freshened by cucumber peel and blueberries. It works when the sorbet’s chill and lemon’s bite keep the sugars from cloying and the botanicals from turning harsh, best for adventurous drinkers who like big, boozy, dessert-leaning chaos.
