Paradise Punch is a bright, highball-style mixed drink that leans into the easygoing “party punch” tradition: a generous pour of fruit juices lengthened with fizz and anchored by a blend of spirits. Rather than a single, well-documented origin story, you’ll find it sits comfortably in the modern, crowd-pleasing family of tall, tropical-leaning punches where approachability matters as much as potency.
On the palate, vodka keeps the base clean while whiskey adds a warmer, grainy depth that stops the fruit from tasting one-note. Pineapple juice brings lush sweetness, and orange juice adds a softer citrus roundness, with grenadine deepening the fruit character and tinting everything a sunset hue. Amaretto threads through with almond-like sweetness that pairs naturally with both orange and pineapple, while ginger ale lifts the whole drink with bubbly brightness and a gentle spicy edge.
Serve it in a highball when you want something long, colourful, and easy to sip—ideal for casual get-togethers, barbecues, or any time you’re building a “one drink fits most” option. If you like fruity drinks but still want a noticeable spirits backbone, this is squarely in your lane.

Ingredients
Cocktail Colin says:
Orange juice and pineapple juice lead with a sunny, pulpy sweetness, while grenadine deepens it into a candied red-fruit note; amaretto adds almond richness, and the whiskey and vodka sit underneath as a warm, clean backbone, lifted by ginger ale fizz. It works because the ginger ale’s spice and bubbles lighten the heavy juice-and-syrup base, making it ideal for party-punch fans and anyone who likes sweet, fruit-forward highballs with a boozy undercurrent.

FAQ's
How should the ingredients for Paradise Punch be combined?
The ingredients for Paradise Punch should be combined by first pouring the pineapple juice, orange juice, amaretto, grenadine, whiskey, and vodka into a highball glass filled with ice. Then, the mixture should be stirred well to ensure everything is evenly mixed. Finally, top up the drink with ginger ale for a fizzy finish and stir gently once more before serving.
What is the best way to serve Paradise Punch?
Paradise Punch is best served in a highball glass filled with ice to keep it cold and refreshing. The drink's vibrant color and fruity flavors make it perfect for adding a tropical touch to any occasion. A slice of orange or pineapple can be added as a garnish to enhance its exotic appeal.
Can I use a different type of juice if I don't have pineapple or orange juice for the Paradise Punch?
Yes, you can substitute other tropical or citrus juices if you don't have pineapple or orange juice. Mango juice, guava juice, or a combination of both can be excellent substitutes that maintain the tropical character of the cocktail. Start with similar quantities and adjust to taste.
How does the alcohol content in Paradise Punch compare to that of other popular cocktails?
Paradise Punch has an alcohol content of 10.47%, placing it in the moderate range compared to other cocktails. For example, a classic Margarita typically has a higher alcohol content near 15%, whereas a Mimosa has a lower alcohol content around 10%. This makes Paradise Punch a relatively balanced option for those seeking a moderately strong drink.
What occasions are most suitable for serving Paradise Punch?
Paradise Punch, with its fruity flavors and vibrant color, is perfect for summer parties, beach gatherings, and tropical-themed events. Its refreshing taste makes it a great choice for outdoor barbecues or any occasion where a light, refreshing, and slightly festive drink is desired. Its moderate alcohol content also makes it suitable for a wide range of adult guests.
