Brunch Cocktails

Explore 101 Brunch cocktail recipes.

Brunch cocktails do a different job from the rest of the cocktail canon. They have to work alongside food, alongside coffee, alongside a slow start to the day. They lean low-strength, citrus-bright and easy to pour at scale.

The Mimosa is the obvious anchor — sparkling wine and orange juice over ice or in a flute, somewhere between a drink and a small celebration. The Screwdriver runs the same logic with vodka in the spirit slot, while the Buck's Fizz is more sparkling than juice, the opposite balance from the Mimosa. The Bloody Mary sits on the savoury side of the table, doing the work of pairing with eggs and bacon better than any other drink in the canon.

The Bellini swaps in peach purée for a softer, less acidic version of the same idea. What you'll see across the list is that brunch drinks tend to bend towards lower alcohol, brighter acidity and easier preparation. Most are built rather than shaken, most use citrus or juice as the lift, and most are designed to be made by the jug as much as by the glass.

They reward fresh juice over the bottled stuff, decent fizz rather than supermarket-tier prosecco, and a slower hand with the spirit than you'd use later in the day.
