This is the drink as Hemingway drank it at the El Floridita Bar in Havana, Cuba. Hemingway supposedly frequented this bar from the early 1930s when he lived in the area. Slowly, from the original Daiquiri recipe, he adapted the ingredients and quantities until he came up with this cocktail. Now it is known the world over.

Method

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well for 10-15 seconds or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.
