This classic is named after the Pendinnis Club in Louisville, Kentucky, which is popularly supposed to be the birthplace of the Old Fashioned.

Method

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and a dash of chilled water. Shake well and fine strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry before serving.
