Website Redesign Launched
Today was a monumental day for everyone here at Make me a Cocktail. After 6 months work we're pleased to announce our brand new website - redesigned, re-configured and re-built from the ground up to make cocktail making as easy and as fun as possible.
Make me a Cocktail was started in 2010 as a fun in-house project, but over the years it grew from strength to strength, and along with this growth, the vision of the company drastically altered as we added new community features, a blog, enhanced My Bar features, and a whole new account section (to name just a few).
The website was great, we loved it, it gave users what they needed in the best way possible within its current design constraints .... but we realised that we could do better. With the internet landscape changing so much and responsive websites popping up all over the www, we realised it was time to move on. We hired a designer and began work on what soon began to be known as mmac v2.0.
6 months later and you can see the results. A fully responsive site that can cope from screen resolutions 1600px wide (and more) down to 480px thin, the site now caters for a multitude of platforms. But more than that, every page, every detail and every nuance of the site was poked, prodded and redesigned and re-configured.
Over the next week we'll put up a selection of some of our favourite 'little big features' on the site (try hitting the search magnifying glass with nothing in the box for example), but for now please let us know what you think, have a play on the site, but most of all, enjoy creating great cocktails. If we've helped you with that, great. If not, then enjoy the drink anyway - in the end thats what it's all about.
Gulp, hiccup.
